If you are hiring an Au Pair you might wish to consider a Swedish candidate.
Sweden has been a member of the European Union for many years and Swedish Au Pairs can therefore work for you without a work permit for as long as you/they wish. They are allowed to work more than 20-25 hours, unlike Au Pairs from some other countries. They do not have to attend English classes in order to be allowed to work as Au Pairs which will allow you to have a more flexible schedule. Most Swedish Au Pairs will have studied English since childhood and will therefore have a very good standard of the language.
